Checkpoint Strikeforce is a research-based multi-state, zero-tolerance campaign to remove impaired drivers from the road using checkpoints and patrols as well as public education.
While Checkpoint Strikeforce aims to reach all potential drunk drivers, it specifically focuses attention on males aged 21 to 35, a demographic that was responsible for more than 47 percent of alcohol-related crashes in 2011. The campaign utilizes TV, radio and internet ads to educate this audience about the dangers of drinking and driving.
